Recently we learned about how authors slow down the pivotal moment or "hot spot" in their story so that the reader can really feel what the character is feeling and savor the turning point of the story. Caitie did a wonderful job of doing just this when she rewrote a scene in her story using the craft of slowing down the hot spot.
